On May 16, MAMAMOO reminded everyone why they were given the title "BelisMamamoo" once again on the first night of their world tour "MAMAMOO MY:CON" at New York's "UBS Arena." The powerhouse vocal group was given the title by the Korean general public for their live vocals and strong, colorful performances that brought fire to the stage.
Once again, this proved that BelisMamamoo ("Believe and Listen to Mamamoo") never disappoints, no matter if they were performing back to back in festivals, filming for Korean shows, preparing for both their solo albums and the concert, were still dealing with jetlag having landed not even 30 hours before or what side of the globe their own. One thing is certain: MAMAMOO is always live and 110% ready to bring it for moomoos; many of them are even surprised that they survived. As their 1st USA tour date has sparked a wave of "I survived MAMAMOO" concert tweets.
The girl group performed over 20 of their hit songs, adding solo performances for the MAMAMOO member solo works as well. Showing off both the group and individual member colors beloved by fans, adding dance breaks, and extra fan service with every single high note, dance break, and interaction. Everything from the girl's styling to their vocals to the emotions and interactions with fans was on another level.

However the festivities did not start nor end there for fans. As many of them, even before the concert, participated in events from cup sleeves at local cafes to covering the USB Arenas roads with the provided colorful chalk, leaving a clear sign that moomoos were waiting. The USB Arenas staff further moved the fans as they made a special nod to the group's 2023 season greetings by making a sweet treat donut table for staff and the girl's pre-concert "MAMAMOO donuts."
The girls themselves even teased the fans without a single break with their English skills and fanfare. Encouraging the fans to sing with them loudly even if the moomoo Korean pronunciation was a bit off. Needless to say, fans were hyped singing, even spitting and doing the killing parts in songs with the girls loudly and proudly. Preparing a special VR fan video for MAMAMOO members featuring USA cartoon radishes and best wishes from mooomoos towards the group. Even clapping back to malicious antis online, who stated "Who was going to fill" the concert seats indicating that no more then 100 per venue would be sold, when capacity was close to 100%.
Needless to say fans both in every single city across the world are hyped for the girls and the girls first stop for their nine city USA tour coast to coast is off to an amazing start. Hyping everyone for both the Seoul encore and new music both solo and group teased and confirmed by the members.

Unnies did great! The New York crowd really energized them. Moonbyul said that they were tired from jet lag but when they saw all our excitement they forgot about their tiredness. Moonbyul and Hwasa both got the loudest cheers, and they also seemed the most outgoing and "off-script". They had lots of laughs on stage.
Frankly I was just a little bit nervous because of this being their first big U.S. show and I wasn't sure how popular they would be over here, but everything turned out great and they really seemed like they had a great time. The concert was a bit shorter than the Asia concerts (2.5 hours) but they really seemed like they didn't want to go - they kept dragging out the goodbyes.
Also worth mentioning is that I've seen many, many Mamamoo concerts from videos, but the live concert is so much better. I was pretty far away (not floor, 1 level up), but somehow they convinced me that they were talking directly to me! I've been to over a hundred concerts and I never felt that feeling so strong before. I can't explain it... you just feel that they see you no matter how far away! Anyways, just go if you haven't already made plans! You won't regret it!
