On May 31 at approximately 6:32 AM KST, Seoul city residents received a very loud, emergency alarm on their electronic devices which read, "Civilians prepare for evacuation, and please ensure that children, elderly, and disabled persons can evacuate first."
The alarm claimed that North Korea had launched a 'space launch vehicle' (SLV) in the direction of South Korea, warning the city's residents of a potentially immediate threat.
However, about 10 minutes later, a new alert was issued clarifying that the warning was a "false alarm". The SLV launched by North Korea flew in the direction of the Yellow Sea and did not pose any potential threat to Seoul city residents. Read more on the issue here.
After receiving the shocking message this morning, GOT7 member BamBam expressed his concerns, as well as his relief that nothing terrible had happened, via Twitter.
First, he wrote, "I'm so glad that nothing happened TT."
He then responded to a fan's comment reading, "You must have been so surprised, right Bam-ah." The idol wrote, "Just... Something like this can happen so suddenly without warning, and so it gets me rethinking how I should live my day to day life TT."
BamBam proceeded to explain the situation and his concerning Twitter posts to his international fans, then finally assured, "In case if something really happened, just want to say I love you guys and always, thank you."
Please??? Everyone stay on alert and safe!!!
