YG Entertainment's upcoming girl group Baby Monster is breaking records even before their debut!
At 3:12 PM KST on May 7 KST, the group's official YouTube channel surpassed 2,000,000 subscribers. As the channel opened on December 28, 2022, Baby Monster set the record for the fastest K-pop girl group to reach the milestone, having achieved it in only 129 days. This is particularly impressive as the number of subscribers can be viewed as an indicator of the team's massive and already loyal fandom.
Meanwhile, the final line-up of which trainees will be debuting through Baby Monster will be revealed on May 12 at midnight KST. The current candidates in the debut team include Japanese trainees Ruka and Asa, Korean trainees Ahyeon, Haram, and Rora, and Thai trainees Pharita and Chiquita. As previously reported, the group is expected to be reduced from seven to five members.

YG is doing what they do best: hyping a group into a phenomenon before there's even songs to judge them by.
