A song receives a Perfect All-Kill (PAK) when it has charted at number one on the daily and real-time charts of all major Korean music streaming platforms like Melon, Genie, Bugs, FLO, VIBE, and YouTube music, as well as number one on Instiz's real-time and weekly iCharts.
This is a difficult achievement, and only the most popular songs can receive the coveted PAK. The top five K-pop songs with the highest hourly Perfect All-kill are listed below.
NewJeans - DITTO
NewJeans, a rookie K-pop girl group, topped all charts with their first comeback just five months after their debut. NewJeans released “DITTO” as a pre-release single on December 19, 2022, as part of their first single album, “OMG.” NewJeans achieved the first Perfect All-kill of their career with the song. On February 2, 2023, “DITTO” suppressed BTS’s “Dynamite” to become the song with the most PAKs. "DITTO" has so far earned a total of 655 PAKs.
BTS - DYNAMITE
Before being overtaken by their junior NewJeans, K-pop sensation BTS held the record for having the highest Perfect All-kill with their first full English language track, "DYNAMITE," which was released in 2020. "DYNAMITE" achieved its first Perfect All-Kill on August 27, 2020, and got a total of 610 PAKs. BTS maintained the record for the highest PAKs for more than two years, and they still have the record of being the male K-pop group with the most hourly Perfect All-kill.
IU - CELEBRITY
The South Korean singer IU, also known as "Nation's Sweetheart," holds the record for having the most songs that achieved a Perfect All-Kill. It is therefore not surprising that "CELEBRITY," a song by her, is the third K-pop song with the highest PAKs. On January 27, 2021, IU released the digital song as a pre-release single for her fifth Korean full-length album, "Lilac." The song quickly rose to the top of all charts and received a total of 462 PAKs.
ZICO - ANY SONG
Another soloist in the top five of the list is Zico. Zico is a South Korean singer, rapper, producer, and songwriter under his own label, KOZ Entertainment. He is also the leader of the K-pop boy band Block B. On January 13, 2020, Zico dropped his eighth digital single, "ANY SONG." On January 17, the song received its first Perfect All-Kill, making it the first song of 2020 to do so. It received a total of 330 PAKs.
IU - LILAC
IU has a total of 21 songs that have achieved Perfect All-kill. Another song by IU that ranks among the top five songs with the highest hourly Perfect All-kill is "LILAC." The song was released as one of the title tracks for her album of the same name on March 25, 2021. With "LILAC," which was certified a Perfect All-kill on March 29, IU earned her second PAK of 2021. With a total of 265 PAKs, "LILAC" is presently the fifth song with the most Perfect All-kills.
Earning a Perfect All-kill is one of the most difficult accomplishments to obtain. To achieve Perfect All-kill, the song must be played widely by the South Korean populace. Songs that achieve this success are considered "mega hits" in South Korea.
All of them are from 2020-2021 because of the change in chart system. I remember the old system required to be #1 on around 12 charts which is why we don't see the biggest hits on this list. Only New Jeans is from 2022, it's mainly because most of the hit songs in 2022 were released in march, april, may era and they all blocked the other ones' paks. I'm not saying that New Jeans robbed the empty house. Ditto's paks were blocked by their own song OMG for 3 weeks as well but there is no competition on charts for months. NJ's all songs are hit indeed
