We are always delighted when K-Pop intersects with other aspects of pop culture, particularly anime, as the genre is one of the most prominent entertainment exports from Japan. With the increase of 4th gen groups contributing to anime OSTs, I believe that we have a bright future ahead of us for those who are fans of both K-Pop and anime! Check out some of the famous anime OSTs by K-pop artists below.
Tower Of God — "Top" by Stray Kids
We already know that Stray Kids can make a song for anything when asked. 3RACHA probably has an entire hard disc of songs ready to go. The Japanese anime is an adaptation of the Korean manhwa (comic) of the same name that first premiered in 2020. Even if you rewatch this anime countless times, you will never once skip the outro and intro songs.
Re-Main - "Forget Me Not" by ENHYPEN
This anime is about Minato Kiyomizu, who lost his memories due to a car accident and was in a coma that lasted over two hundred days.
Kiba — "Hakanaku Tsuyoku" by Younha
Fans are very much delighted at the fact that after about 16 years, this song is finally officially released through Younha's official YouTube account. Younha who initially debuted in Japan before breaking into the Korean market, released this gem in 2007, just before making her Korean debut.
Rilu Rilu Fairilu — "Brand New Days" by A Pink
This anime is a joint effort between Sanrio and Sega, where it is a fun fantasy anime about various fairies and their adventures in the human world.
Black Clover — "Everlasting Shine" by Tomorrow X Together
I don't watch anime, but this song is one of my personal favorites. After a successful Japanese debut, the group was selected to perform the anime's twelfth opening theme.
Fairy Tail — "Masayume Chasing" by BoA
This anime is one of the most popular fantasy anime, and our K-Pop queen, BoA, sang the anime's fifteenth opening.
KING's RAID Opening Theme 2 - "Eclipse" by DREAMCATCHER
If you've heard Dreamcatcher, you would agree that they certainly are made to sing anime theme songs, and luckily, they did it. The anime is a 2020 release, of an adaptation of the video game of the same name.
One Piece — "We Are" by TVXQ
This anime is one of the most popular anime of all time. The kings of K-Pop performed a remix of the anime's first opening.
Ozuma — "Neverland" by FTIsland
In 2012, the group's seventh Japanese single, "Neverland," was chosen as the opening song for the anime. This 2012 anime is set in a post-apocalyptic Earth where the entire planet has turned into an arid desert.
Beelzebub — "Baby U!" by MBLAQ
This song is the group's second Japanese single that served as the fourth opening song for the anime. The anime premiered in 2011 as an adaptation of the manga of the same name and ran for sixty episodes.
Noblesse — "Breaking Dawn" by Jaejoong Kim
This is the type of song that you might not like at first, but then gets super addictive the more you listen to it. This song also would make you want to go back to reading Noblesse again in Webtoons for the sake of nostalgia.
Lookism — "Like That" by ATEEZ
It certainly was an early Christmas present for fans when ATEEZ dropped this track in December of last year. Especially with ATEEZ also being huge anime fans, this was a dream come true for both fans and the artists themselves.
Solo Leveling — "Echo" by The Boyz
This anime is yet to be released, but the song was certainly a teaser for what was to come of this series, making everyone more than excited! Instead of an anime, the video seemed like the characters just started walking straight out of the manhwa!
