Actor Lee Jung Jae has landed the male lead role in the new 'Star Wars' series 'The Acolyte'.
On September 9 KST, one U.S. media outlet reported that Lee Jung Jae has been cast as the male lead in Lucasfilm's new 'Star Wars' series, titled 'The Acolyte'. Following its production, 'The Acolyte' is expected to be made available to watch on Disney Plus. The details of Lee Jung Jae's role have not yet been revealed, and Disney Plus has currently not released any official statement.
Lee Jung Jae, a well-respected actor in South Korea, gained global recognition through his role in the Netflix original series 'Squid Game'. With 'Squid Game' successfully launching Lee Jung Jae's career in the Hollywood industry, many look forward to his next overseas project.

"lead" but I bet there will actually be multiple leads with him actually being more of a side character similar to John Boyega's Finn. Its great that Hollywood is taking such a risk to cast a Korean actor for such big franchise but I find it hard to believe he will be a central figure in his first Western role.
