Actress Park Si Eun and actor Jin Tae Hyun are mourning the loss of their daughter just 20 days before the expected date of delivery.
On August 20th, Jin Tae Hyun relayed tragic news on his personal Instagram, saying they had a miscarriage just 20 days before the expected date of delivery. In his heartfelt post, he said their baby's heart suddenly stopped beating on August 16th. Below is his post in full.
"Hello, this is Jin Tae Hyun. On August 16th, 2022, our baby Tae Eun's heart suddenly stopped beating. We would have met her lovely face in 3 weeks but she left us 20 days out. She gave her father and mother hope, love, and everything for the past 9 months except for revealing her face before she left.
I believe our Tae Eun would have been happy thanks to many people's love and support. I don't regret sharing the news on social media. I'll take them as fond memories. Thank you so much for your support.
I will be taking care of my wife's mind and helping her fully recover. We will stay strong as we always have been. Thank you again to everyone who sends support for us as a couple. I can't stop shedding tears but I will stop as I have to stand up for my family.
The time I had to wait for my wife outside of the operation room taught me a valuable lesson to be humble and reflect upon the life I had lived. I believe I have to admit that every moment up until now and the time that will come after I say goodbye to my child are all reality to healthy cope with what has happened.
I'll be loving my wife more and will be doing everything with her from this point forward. I'm glad I gave all my love for our Tae Eun for the past 9 months. I hope to see her one day in heaven.
I believe in God. We will stay strong and we will not give up. Please send prayers for us and my wife. All the gifts you've sent for the baby will be kept for another Tae Eun in our life.
Si Eun, my love. This is not a misfortune or anyone's fault so please don't be hard on yourself. You've done an amazing job raising Tae Eun for 9 months so please take time off to rest and recuperate. No matter what others say, I love you🤍"
The couple got married back in 2015, and they adopted their first child, who just got into college, in 2019. They announced the pregnancy news back in February of this year.
What a terrible experience! I hope they have a lot of love from their family and friends to get them through this sad time. RIP😭
