A sequel project to the 2017 hit drama series 'Strong Woman Do Bong Soon' is coming soon, with a promising, rising star cast!
On May 27 KST, media outlet reports confirmed that Lee Yoo Mi, Ong Seong Wu, Byun Woo Seok, Kim Jung Eun, and Kim Hae Sook have been cast as the leads of 'Strong Woman Kang Nam Soon', a sequel series to the JTBC drama 'Strong Woman Do Bong Soon'.
'Strong Woman Kang Nam Soon', written by scriptwriter Baek Mi Kyung who originally created 'Strong Woman Do Bong Soon', tells the story of a daughter, a mother, and a grandmother, all with superior genes that gave them immense strength.
First, Kim Jung Eun will take on the role of a justice-driven mother named Hwang Geum Joo, who is looking for her missing daughter. Alongside Kim Jung Eun, actress Lee Yoo Mi takes on the role of a young woman named Kang Nam Soon, a girl from Mongolia who is looking for her mother. Next, veteran actress Kim Hae Sook takes on the role of a fiery grandma butcher, completing a rather odd super-family.
On the other hand, singer/actor Ong Seong Wu has been cast as a detective named Kang Hee Sik, who is assigned to a large-scale drug bust case in Gangnam. Lastly, actor Byun Woo Seok joins the crew as a mysterious villain, Ryu Si Oh.
