Trot singer Hong Jin Young will be returning soon. 

On March 21st KST, the singer's label IMH Entertainment released an official statement announcing her return to the industry. Hong Jin Young has been laying low after she admitted that she had plagiarized her master's thesis at Chosun University back in November 2020.

The following is the official statement from IMH Entertainment. 
"Hello, IMH Entertainment is writing to announce our singer Hong Jin Young's return. 

Currently, Hong Jin Young is recording her songs aiming to resume her activities after releasing new music in April. 

Hong Jin Young has been reflecting upon herself after halting all her activities since November 2020. She is working on filming her music video after yearning to return on stage. 

She has carefully decided to return after both feeling grateful to our fans for their unchanging support and feeling sorry to the general public for not being exemplary as a public figure. 

During her time of self-reflection, we have collectively reconsidered the ramifications of her action as a singer and she has decided that she would become a singer who can spread positivity in our society. 

Now, Hong Jin Young is trying to take her first step to becoming a singer who can spread positivity after overcoming her fear of resuming her activities. We will do our best to become someone who can give hope and start from the beginning. We ask for your kind regards.
