It is a year since Jimin's self-composed song Christmas Love was gifted to ARMY, and as such, the celebrations were in order.

On the 24th of December last year, BTS Jimin surprised ARMY with the lovely gift of a song, Christmas Love. The track, which was released right in time for Christmas, was an original work by the idol and captured the true magic and spirit of the season, especially his fond childhood memories of the season, including the first snowfall, which is Jimin's favorite.

As soon as it was released, the world fell in love with it and felt that the Christmas spirit had really been revived in the midst of the pandemic. The media across the globe called it a track that spelled love, hope, joy, and happiness and one which would stick with fans for a very long time. Grammy award-winning lyric coloratura soprano Sumi Jo said that she had listened to it many times and that Jimin's voice made her happier. Another renowned operatic singer and a voting member of the Grammy committee, Lim Hyung Joo, also praised Jimin's vocals and the power of music that enabled him to have a warm Christmas holiday.

On the music charts, Christmas Love became the most streamed Korean solo on Youtube in its first 24 hours with 9.5 Million streams, it occupied the SoundCloud Hot & New Charts in All Genres, and All Countries took the top spot on MELON trends, and was mentioned by Rolling Stone among the top 10 Korean releases to evoke the Christmas spirit. In South Korea, it was featured as the BGM for the KBS News 9 sports segment, the preview of The Return Of Superman, and received airplay in the radio stations of Singapore Indonesia, as well as charting among the top songs of Ecuador, Japan and Korea on Youtube for two weeks.

To celebrate its first anniversary, fans went all out, loud and proud with their messages to trend #1YearWithChristmasLove at #1 Worldwide, #소복소복_크리스마스러브1주년_축하해 at #4 with CHRISTMAS LOVE JIMIN at #6, these and more ranked high on trends in more than twenty countries including the United States, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and more. Additionally, there were fans who celebrated by doing acts of charity, Jimin fanbase PARKJIMIN_Chile donated 12 weeks of pain relievers for children with cancer at the Nuestros Hijos Foundation, the fan account PJM_Magazine adopted a giant panda in Jimin's name through the WWF for one year while another @jimine0713 sent donations to the Rotary Foundation in Jimin's name for the eradication of polio.

On the same day, a survey conducted by SevenEdu, a math education company for Elementary, Middle, and High schoolers in Korea, revealed Jimin to be the preferred star people would want to spend Christmas eve with. In the poll that ran from the 27th of Nov to 21st Dec, Jimin emerged the winner with 18,656 (59.9%) out of 31,161 total votes cast.
