A timeless masterpiece co-written, composed, performed and made popular by the King of Kpop BTS’s Jimin has been made into an even better version by its Producer Docskim.

On February 11, producer, composer, keyboardist from the Ghost Band ‘Docskim’ posted on his official Twitter and Instagram about a new “definite version” of a 2016 masterpiece “Lie” by BTS’s Jimin. The song can be listened to on SoundCloud and Youtube. Docskim dedicated this version to his amazing mother.

Docskimoriginally co-wrote and produced “Lie,” which was first released in 2016 from BTS’s album “Wings.” Jimin, on the other hand, has been credited for writing and composing this song based on Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA).

The day before its release Docskim teased BTS’s ARMYs about a BIG gift from him as gratitude for supporting his work.

When Docskimdropped the Big gift, he stated that “Lie” is the first song he produced that made his dream of being a producer into reality. This explains why he chose “Lie” out of the many songs he has produced, including Hope World, Outro: Tear, and Scenery.

Docskim expressed his gratitude to Jimin, BTS, BigHit, and Pdogg for giving him the opportunity and made his dreams come true.

Docskim said he always kind of regretted his original production of “Lie” and could’ve done a way better job, and that is what made him release the ‘definitive version.’ Everything, except vocals, was re-recorded, remixed, and remastered.

Aside from producing songs for BTS and other artists, Docskim is part of the “Ghost Band,” the live band which performs with BTS during live shows.

Lie, which is also known as Jimin’s first solo masterpiece, became the most streamed solo song from the Wings album and now has surpassed 126 million streams on Spotify.

Four years after its release, Lie has peaked at #2 in Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales Charts.

Further, “Lie ”set records on Billboard Twitter Top Tracks last 2017 as the highest charting and longest charting Korean solo of all time.

“Lie” has also been one of the most influential songs of BTS and has been consistently chosen to be covered by rookie idols, professional dancers and groups, and other idols by which Jimin acquired his nickname as “Rookie Bible." Its stage has always been iconic as Jimin interpreted it very exquisitely.

“Lie” has likewise showcased Jimin’s wide vocal range from his low notes to his high notes. The definitive version made Jimin’s vocals stand out more. It’s a truly refreshing take to such a masterpiece.
