He reached #1 worldwide and USA trends with over 1 million mentions, proving his unrivalled worldwide popularity for the umpteenth time. It is a widely-known fact that Jungkook is extremely popular in the US, always trending the highest among members there. Jungkook also trended in South Korea and was the highest trending BTS member on Twipple Japan following the performance. Jungkook's Google searches also peaked at 100 with "Bun - Hairstyle" experienced a 1,100% rise in the Related Topic searches. "Hanbok - Dress" also experienced a breakout in the searches related to Jungkook. Western medias like the New York Post and Metro UK also didn't miss to report about the hype surrounding the Worldwide IT Boy, highlighting his hair bun as the stealer of the show. Newsweek even gave an honourable mention to Jungkook’s bun in their article about the opening night of BTS Week on the show.
