Twice's Feel Special which was released on September 23 at 6pm KST, achieved 14.8 million views during the first 24 hours on YouTube. Compared to Twice's last comeback MV Fancy which recorded nearly 40 million views during it's first 24 hours, this is a 150% drop in view count. The main reason behind the huge decline in views is blocking of paid ad views by YouTube during first 24 hours. Despite this comeback being highly anticipated because of Mina's inclusion in the group, the fans are disappointed at low amount of views on YouTube.
JYP have been known to buy views for all their groups (GOT7, ITZY, Stray Kids and Twice) to inflate the view counter, but after YouTube's no ad views policy, the company might have to take some other measures to market the MV to the public. It is to be seen if the ads are taken into account after the first day and if Twice will manage to see a huge unusual bump in views after the first 24 hours.
i'm just awed with the kpop fans' obsession with yt views these days. or maybe i'm just old to care with the ranking of views of the mvs after 1 day, 1 month, etc. even the comments are mostly about reaching some millions of views rather than the song or the video.
