IZ*ONE's Sakura Miyawaki and Kang Ho Dong revealed their unexpected friendship on JTBC's 'Knowing Brothers'.
On the May 4th installment, Sakura Miyawaki and Kang Ho Dong looked back on their time together on 'Everyone's Kitchen', and the IZ*ONE member said, "Other than IZ*ONE, Kang Ho Dong is my first Korean friend." Kang Ho Dong then agreed, "I am Sakura's first Korean friend."
She joked, "When I was in Japan, I didn't know Kang Ho Dong. There aren't any people with such big faces like this in Japan," adding, "He's cute now though."

It was great casting that she got teamed up with Ho Dong and Kwanghee on Everybody's Kitchen as they are both so adept at making idols feel comfortable. Also Ho Dong really did a great job in that pilot episode laughing through the language gaps and awkwardness of Sakura which I think really helped her feel less nervous. That had to be so nerve-wracking to go on a show like that by herself with no member to lean on. I think Ho Dong sensed that. While he gets teased a lot about the "Victims of Star King" on Knowing Brothers, he really has done a good job throughout his career of trying to bring out the best in guests.
