JYP Entertainment gave their employees the highest raise compared to other major entertainment companies.
According to the '2018 Business Report' provided by Financial Supervisory Service, JYP Entertainment's average yearly employee salary went from 37,950,000 KRW (33,371 USD) in 2017 up to 76,960,000 KRW (67,687 USD) in 2018. This is an increase of 102% of the average salary in just a year.
YG Entertainment followed in next with the second highest raise for their employees at 56% going from 35,000,000 KRW (30,782 USD) in 2017 up to 54,710,000 KRW (48,117) in 2018. SM Entertainment was third, with an increase of 43% in the average salary, going from 37,180,000 KRW (32,697 USD) in 2017 to 53,290,000 KRW (46,865 USD) in 2018. Cube Entertainment saw a slight increase in average salary at 7% going from 27,000,000 KRW (23,745 USD) in 2017 to 29,000,000 KRW (25,505 USD) in 2018. Meanwhile, FNC Entertainment had actually faced a drop in the average salary, going from an average of 39,900,000 KRW (35,094 USD) in 2017 to 23,270,000 KRW (20,467 USD) in 2018, a drop of 41%.
