On February 26, Wanna One's Kim Jae Hwan went out to try a popular "student favorite" dish, also called "JaeHwannie"!
Not to be confused, the rice dish named "JaeHwannie" was not inspired by or named after the Wanna One member (unlike the formerly popular "Mark-meal", named by a fan after GOT7's Mark). This particular restaurant is a hotspot for studying students who visit right after school or tutoring school to fill their hungry stomachs, and the dishes are named by students after the students asked for specific ingredient combinations that they wanted to eat. Other dishes at this restaurant include "Best Friend", "TaePoongie", "JiWoongie", "What Should I Eat", and more.
Previously, this restaurant was featured on a food program on SBS, and caught the eyes of Kim Jae Hwan fans for the "JaeHwannie" meal. (The "JaeHwannie" is made of rice w/gochujang sauce & stir-fried pork, topped with dried seaweed flakes and a sunny-side up egg.)
Now, it looks like word about the "JaeHwannie" meal has reached Kim Jae Hwan himself! The idol posted a set of videos on his official Instagram detailing his visit to the restaurant, ordering, "Manager, please give me not the small 'JaeHwannie' but the big 'JaeHwannie', and a 'Gamji'."
What's also surprising is that after this restaurant visit, Kim Jae Hwan also posted on his personal Instagram account for the first time in over two years! He shared a cute photo holding up the "JaeHwannie" meal, confirming his visit to the location.
