On June 8 KST, media outlets reported that JTBC's 'Welcome to Waikiki' has decided on its second season and is expected to air in the second half of next year, with the cast under discussion.
Since the report, a representative from 'Welcome to Waikiki' stated, "We are currently in the planning stage, and nothing in detail has been discussed nor confirmed."
The drama aired its last episode back on April 17 of this year and despite the average ratings, the feedbacks were generally positive and viewers have been asking for its second season.
