Cheetah and Brown Eyed Girls's JeA have returned as MCs of SBS Mobidic's web reality talk show, 'Ssen My Way'! ("Ssen" as in tough or strong in Korean.)
The 'Ssen My Way' series just returned with its first mini-episode of the new season on April 19, where Cheetah and JeA received an anonymous story from a male college student.
The 24-year old student, who revealed that he was recently discharged from the military, said, "I want to get back to the fun college life, but now that I've come back, the mood at school isn't what it used to be. The male hoobaes tell me, 'Hyung, if you go out to eat with the female hoobaes these days, you'll get arrested.' Society these days is so chaotic and sensitive, that college kids are trying to stay away from holding group homework sessions with girls, and there's even talk of trying to change annual 'MTs' (usually overnight getaways by majors) to just a one day trip. I just want to buy my hoobaes food and gossip with them, but this kind of talk is making me feel uncomfortable around female hoobaes nowadays. Next week, there's a club dinner, but I'm worried about that too. Is not associating [with girls] the only solution to this problem?"
After hearing the anonymous story, JeA suspected that this particular male student may be sensitive to the topic especially, reasoning, "You only see what you want to see." She added, "How can you only go to an MT for one day?! You have to go for two nights and three days!"
Cheetah pointed out that it doesn't matter how may days an MT lasts, as long as no one causes any problems worth "being charged". She also discussed the issue of people who use the "#MeToo movement as a joke, like people who say, 'You'd better watch out for #MeToo!'. That's not how that word is supposed to be used."
The two MCs, then gave some examples of 'regular' complimenting versus 'harassment' complimenting, finishing up by saying how unfortunate it was that the female students were being left out of college activities due to the "societal mood". Catch the full clip below.
