In light of the recent ending of her KBS2 drama 'Radio Romance', Girl's Day's Yura held a cafe interview.
Being an idol, Yura was also subject to words of criticism from some viewers regarding her acting. In response, Yura said, "It's true that I lack in many ways. But on the other hand, script lines that you can say comfortably can make one appear to be more calm and natural, but my character was not a character with such lines. I had to scream, rather than using a relaxed tone. It was difficult for my throat." In 'Radio Romance', Yura played the role of an antagonist, Jin Tae Ri.
She continued, "Everyone thinks and responds differently, so if I want to appeal to each of those tastes, than I have to work even harder. I understand [the controversy]. I will work harder."
Does Yura read malicious comments online? She replied, "Not really, I only sort of flip through the sympathetic ones. (Laughter.) I do look at constructive criticism about acting though. To see what people find uncomfortable. Those, I tend to save too."
She also added, "I need to be unquestionably good at acting. Especially because I'm an idol, I have to be really good to not receive hate. It's up to me to endure and persevere. Next time, I want a more comfortable, relaxed role."
