Former SPICA member Jiwon has been confirmed to be joining the upcoming idol rebooting program 'The Unit'.
On September 14, insiders revealed Jiwon is joining 'The Unit' lineup. She was originally intended to debut in 2007 as part of Five Girls, but the girl group never made an official debut due to their agency's financial difficulties. Jiwon was then planned to debut with T-ara in 2009, but left the group before their official debut due to creative differences.
Though she finally debuted with SPICA in early 2012, the group disbanded this past February.
Jiwon will be joining DIA's Yebin and Somi, Dal Shabet's Serri and Woohee, Big Star, Brave Girls, former T-ara member Ahreum, Boys Republic, Wassup's Nari and Jiae, former Tiny-G member Mint, and more on 'The Unit'. The show is set to premiere on October 28.
