Following his appearance on MBC's 'I Live Alone', netizens started calling the star 'halbae' or grandpa due to his all-white hair and old fashioned lifestyle.

In an interview with 'One Night of TV Entertainment' on August 22, Taeyang shared thoughts on the new nickname, and said, "I can't help but accept it. I really looked like a grandpa in a nursery home. I was also surprised watching myself."
When asked about his future goals, he commented, "Myself, at this moment, is what I've always dreamt of being. I want to be remembered this way for a long time."
