Following the news, netizens criticized Brand New Music and commented, "Brand New Music is already done preparing to debut a group and all the members are ready to go. In response to the criticism, Rhymer explained via Instagram, "Brand New Music's boy group project is currently in process. Nothing is confirmed for sure with me and the staff members regarding the form of their debut. It's true that the trainees are preparing for that team but I want to emphasize once again that nothing is yet confirmed."
