Some time back in 2015, Yoo Ah In injured his shoulder while filming a movie. Despite his hopes to enlist and serve in the Korean military for his mandatory duty, the injury continues to prevent him from fulfilling his active service, even after over a year. The military affairs office in Daegu, through which the actor received his examinations, has decided to postpone Yoo Ah In's enlistment for the 3rd time.
Yoo Ah In first received a physical examination for his military enlistment back in December of 2015, with results stating, "[He] requires a 6-month period in order to observe the injured area." His 2nd examination took place back in May of this year, and he was told again that the injured area needed to be watched over carefully.
The same answer has come around for his 3rd examination, with the status of his military enlistment having been "postponed". His label, frustrated, said that "Yoo Ah In has pushed back his contracts with productions as well as advertisement deals in order to enlist. But we keep hearing that "in this state, we cannot issue a call to enlistment'... At this rate, Yoo Ah In has no options to be able to enlist successfully. He has no choice but to wait for his reexamination date."
We wish Yoo Ah In a full recovery for his next examination.
