BTS shared thoughts about their immense popularity with My Daily.
To the question asking if they are able to feel their popularity, BTS shook their heads no, and maknae Jungkook said, "Once our promotion started, most of our schedule was performing at music shows, so we haven't had the chance to feel our popularity. But recently, we've been mentioned a lot on variety shows so that was cool. And we realize that we have popularity after reading articles about us."

SUGA added, "Recently, I was so surprised because I was watching 'Radio Star', and our name popped up. It was cool and quite unbelievable. We also made it on the news so I knew our position after seeing that."
However, BTS stated that they didn't become popular overnight but actually had to slowly climb up to their current position. Rap Monster explained, "Some say that we succeeded after this [Blood, Sweat & Tears] promotion, but it's actually not like that. It's just that now it rose to the surface. We always worried about why we are slow. We are climbing up but it seemed like at a very slow rate. So we always wondered when we would be having a dabaek but I think we brought a result close to that this time."
Once again, SUGA spoke his mind, saying, "It might seem like we don't promote much because we don't appear often on shows other than music shows. But when you closely take a look, we released many albums to the point where we should be receiving perfect attendance award for music shows. It's just that people started noticing us through 'HwaYangYeonHwa'. Our fans know that we are climbing up a bit by bit."
