Actor Song Joong Ki relayed a cute tale of his encounter with Korean president Park Geun Hye during the 'Descendants of the Sun' press conference on April 15.

He revealed, "I was nervous on the day I was supposed to go meet the president.  There's a story."  He thought back to his meeting with the president, then said, "Without knowing, I greeted her with, 'It is nice meeting you.'  However, to tell the truth, before going to the military in the past, I had seen her before at a Children's Day event.  That greeting went out without my knowing because I had not had many chances to see the president.  But the president responded with, 'We had met before,'" causing laughter.

"Still, she said to me, 'Did you return from the military well?' so I was grateful," he concluded.  "She empathized with me, saying many nice things like, 'Keeping being modest in the future.'"

Anyone can get a bit tongue-tied in front of the president!
