MBC's 'News Desk' reported on March 8 that a bunch of middle school girls in Daegu ganged up on one of their classmates identified as Kim and even captured the assault on video.
The girls, who are known to be delinquents, had assaulted Kim, recorded the whole incident and uploaded the clip onto a private chat room using messaging app Kakao Talk.

According to police investigation, the girls were said to have testified, "We got angry because she went around telling other friends about our argument in middle school."
On the other hand, Kim confessed, "I've been continuously assaulted since my first year of middle school. I was afraid of retaliation but it grew too much to bear so I decided to dial the authorities."
Meanwhile, police relayed their intent to investigate whether the girls bullied other students and whether they circulated the video clip outside the chat room.
