The group officially debuted in Japan on January 13 with the Japanese version of 'Welcome Back,' which topped Oricon's Daily Album Chart. Just a month after on February 11, iKON kicked off their Japanese arena tour 'iKONCERT 2016 SHOWTIME TOUR IN JAPAN' at the Fukuoka Convention Center. A few days later on February 15, the boys performed at the vaunted Nippon Budokan in Tokyo. They're the first foreign artist to perform at the venue in such a short amount of time subsequent their Japanese debut.
The venue was nearly full even before the concert began as a total of 13,000 passionate fans excitedly cheered on the boys. When iKON finally stepped onto the stage, the cheering was said to have grown to very high decibel levels! Amidst the fans' chants and screaming, iKON sang all their latest hits, including "Rhythm Ta," "My Type," "Airplane," "Apology," and even songs that were released before their official debut such as "Sinosijak" and "Wait for Me."
iKON thanked their Japanese fans, saying, "Thanks to all you fans, we were able to stand on the Budokan stage so soon. We are so happy to perform at this place where we can feel the history."
