"If our employee behaves rudely to a customer, we will ask the employee to leave; if the customer behaves rudely to an employee, we will ask the customer to leave." So went the notice that hung on the front door of a bento box specialty store, which has become a hot topic online.
The poster of the notice, 'SNOWFOX's president Kim Seung Ho, discussed his workplace philosophy and the importance he places on employee happiness in an interview with CBS radio 'Kim Hyun Jung's News Show' on November 2.
When asked about why he decided to put up such a notice, Kim reasoned, "I think it's very admirable and respectable that the young work force have pride in both the company they work for and the work they do."

Kim continued, "I couldn't just sit by and watch while [my workers] felt doubt and a sense of loss in their lives or powerless just because of customers who acted out of line [towards them]. The only person who can protect our workers is me. So I resorted to actively posting my thoughts in this manner."
Regarding the opinion some people that customers could take offense to such a blunt notice, Kim stated, "I think the price and service, or suggestions, should be exchanged on an equal basis. The attitude of forgetting to be courteous just because you are paying up isn't right."
Yes, we need more people like this in the world!
