Some went as far as to point out that the song seemed to be a Taeyang ft. Mino track rather than the other way around. And others also questioned why Mino would bring in a big YG artist for his stage when he had personally remarked that he came on 'SMTM' to shed his YG-image.
But it turns out, it wasn't originally Mino's idea to bring in Taeyang for his performance of "Fear". Rather, it was Taeyang's idea to show his support for his hoobae. An agency rep explained, "Taeyang, even on his free days, likes to spend his time in the training room with the trainees and dance with them or teach them choreography. Because Taeyang had always looked upon Song Min Ho like a younger brother ever since the latter's trainee days, Taeyang wanted to stand on stage with him. So that's how [the performance] had been decided on."

As much as there has been some talk surrounding Taeyang's featuring and whether Mino has the talent to put on a performance without the help of his agency, the upcoming final performance will have no involvement from YG Entertainment. Mino, himself, is said to not want their involvement either to put on a stage as a regular contestant without the backing of a large-scale agency.
The upcoming final round of 'Show Me the Money 4' will be broadcast live on August 28, so don't miss out on the epic showdown between Mino and Basick!
