Yet despite these difficulties and not having someone who truly understood her pains, she worked hard and became the perfect star today.

In 2003, BoA's manager was killed in a car accident. What made the event even more tragic was the fact that he was also one of her closest friends at the time as he would go around praising BoA's many talents and strengths to anyone who would listen.

Despite the loss of her manager and close friend, she continued to perform the upbeat and cheery song "Atlantis Princess." While she was visibly on the verge of tears throughout the performance, she continued to push through the performance, continuing to smile for her fans.
