It seems Swings has become the archetypal 'uncle fan' after enlisting in the army. The rapper has lost all interest in the hip hop scene and has turned coat to become an aficionado of all things idol...or so he claims. When questioned what he believes season four will be like without him, Swings proclaimed with shameless bravado, "An 'SMTM 4' without Swings is like an EXID without Hani," insinuating that he is as indispensable to 'SMTM' as Hani is to EXID.
He further said, "These days, there is no idol group I don't know. I even know Lovelyz. Whenever I watch TV, I'm always 'Hani~'...When she appears on TV, I can't help but smile. I don't even listen to hip hop anymore. I'm a soldier now," inducing laughter.
Swings got more serious as he continued with, "I used to say whatever I felt like and act however I wanted but I really can't to that [in the army] so I have locked up the person called 'Swings.' I realized what a priceless thing freedom is. I don't think we should ever take the things we have for granted."
The rapper predicted that 'SMTM 4' will be "epic" and warned of his return with "Wait until the August 24 of next year."
