This spring and early summer is already anticipated as the 'daesae' ('trend') season of girl groups. That's because many of the top girl groups in the Kpop industry will be having their comeback from the end of May to the middle of June, including Girls' Generation, KARA, Girl's Day, SISTAR and A Pink!
Media outlet Sports Donga took a look into the girl groups that they know are set to make a comeback from the inside info they've gathered. And one of those girl groups is none other than Girls' Generation, whom we know are gearing for a comeback!
According to the media outlet, the group is said to be making their long-awaited comeback in the first week of June with their 5th full-length album. Not counting "Catch Me If You Can", it will have been a year and four months since their last comeback in Korea. They're currently said to have started shooting for their jacket photos and are wrapping up the final touches for their return.
KARA is also set to make a comeback next month. They have chosen their title track and will begin filming for their MV soon. As previously announced, they are planning to release their album by the end of May.
Girls' Day and A Pink are joining on the fun as well, and are pretty much all ready except choosing their title track. Once they choose their song, they'll film their MV and we can bet we'll be hearing more news about their comeback once the upcoming month hits. The media outlet also mentions that SISTAR is also planning to come back around this time frame, having steadily gathered songs for their new release.
We've already had some big comebacks this year, but with these top girl groups joining on the fun, as well as boy group Big Bang, it seems the competition for late spring and summer will be intense!
