Kim Gu Ra grabbed viewers' attention when he mentioned that Yoo Se Yoon had originally planned on leaving 'Radio Star' way before his self-confessed DUI.
On the June 6th broadcast of JTBC's 'Ssul Jeon', Kim Gu Ra shared, "Last year, before I even left 'Radio Star', Yoo Se Yoon was planning on leaving the show."
"Yoo Se Yoon, who was on various programs at the time, said he wanted to take a break from broadcast and shared that he wanted to go back to his rookie mindset through concerts and events."
Yoo Se Yoon also caused quite a bit of a surprise last year when he suddenly announced his wish to retire from the entertainment industry in three years after his contract expires. With fans reaching out to him out of concern and curiosity, Yoo Se Yoon later said he spoke out rashly at the time and assured fans he didn't mean to actually leave.
When he recently voluntarily turned himself over to the police for DUI, netizens wondered if this was his way of taking a break from the industry and his schedules. With Kim Gu Ra's latest statement, more are believing that's the case, especially with other celebrities also having mentioned that the comedian has been dealing with depression over the years.
Yoo Se Yoon has now been dropped from 'Radio Star', 'Knee Drop Guru', 'SNL Korea', and is in talks to leave 'Barefoot Friends' as well. Kim Gu Ra will be returning to 'Radio Star' to help fill the empty spot left behind.
