Vice President of Content
Full Time Position
The Vice President of Content is responsible for overseeing 6Theory's editorial content and community. You will report directly to the COO and be responsible for providing assistance. You will also work with the senior staff and come up with / brainstorm various creative content. This is a full time position with salary and other benefits. Requirement: Must be able to work out of our Edgewater, New Jersey office.
Responsibilities:
- Explore and identify foreign cultures through various media contents with primary focus on Asia.
- Develop and coordinate content ideas and story with audience appeal and supervise work of editors.
- Review and approve proofs submitted by editors prior to publication and oversee the contents publication process according to editorial guidelines and policy.
- Maintain business relationships with various media representatives including global, local and across media types especially in Korea and Japan.
- Assit in preparation and management of the budget.
- Provide Chief Operation Officer with information and proposals concerning the new media contents.
Requirements:
- Bachelors in International Culture or International Literature.
- 3+ years work experience [International Culture/ Relations related occupation]

Part Time Assistant Editor
The Assistant Editor is responsible for helping in overseeing allkpop's editorial content and community. You will report directly to the VP of Content and be responsible for providing assistance. As such, the editor will write and edit content being published during [Two Days: Sunday and Monday from 3am to 10am Eastern Standard Time]. You will also work with the senior staff and come up with / brainstorm various creative content. This is a compensated position and you will work from home (telecommute).
[Note: Due to odd hours, we are also taking application outside of the United States.]
Responsibilities:
- Produce original and translated content during your shift.
- Responsible for copy-editing all news content on our web properties during assigned hours, must ensure all news is published in a timely manner.
- Assist in creating and determining new content and features.
- Work closely with writers on story assignments, including preliminary research, assistance with sources, and revisions.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Journalism or related field.
- Exceptional writing, editing and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional grammar, spelling, flow, and vocabulary.
- Candidate must be fluent in Korean and English, Japanese is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast- paced environment.
- Strict attention to detail.

Part Time Journalist Position
The Journalist is responsible for helping creating content and writing stories for allkpop. You will report directly to the editor on duty and receive assignments in addition to being responsible for providing assistance. As such, the journalist will create / write content on [Two Days: Saturday and Sunday from 7pm to 12am Eastern Standard Time or 12am to 5am Eastern Standard Time (Your Preference)]. You will also work with the senior staff and come up with various creative content. This is a compensated position and you will work from home (telecommute).

allkpop is also looking for talented, highly-motivated individuals who are fluent in both Korean and English to fill positions for Summer Internship. If you're looking to expand your resume and interested in the Journalism Field, we're looking for interns to join our staff for the Summer of 2013. If you are a responsible individual who is able to work independently and possess strong communications skills, then we want you to submit your stuff!

- Must be able to intern out of our Edgewater, New Jersey office.

Intern Writer for allkpop (Journalism Majors)
Writers are required to translate assigned stories, as well as research and utilize your own sources to report on the latest breaking news and celebrity gossip.
A very high level understanding of the Korean language is mandatory. Self-motivation is extremely important, as well as being able to work under high pressure and short deadlines.

Intern Graphic Design/Developer Intern
Graphic Design/Developer interns will be working on various real-life projects for all 6Theory Media properties. Projects will range from UI/UX design, background/site takeover designs, flyers, posters and more – here's your chance to showcase your work to millions of people.
- Must have proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and knowledge of InDesign, HTML/CSS.
- Proficiency/knowledge of PHP/MYSQL is a plus!
