Shoe company Converse has brought together AZIATIX, JAURIM, and IDIOTAPE for the free download track "#PeepShow"!

The music initiative brings together three diverse and unique Korean artists, featuring indie icons, JAURIM; rising hip-hop stars, AZIATIX; and award-winning electronic act, IDIOTAPE. The new track, "#PeepShow," is available to music fans globally starting today via free download at play.converse.com.

"#PeepShow" is a cross-pollination of three distinct music genres, weaving together AZIATIX' signature rap lyrics with JAURIM's indie vocals and Idiotape's electronic sound. Recorded in Seoul, Korea, the genre-bending track pushes the dial on youthful expression and brings an edgy new sound to the Asia Pacific market. Fueled by IDIOTAPE's driving bassline, JAURIM and AZIATIX bring a new dimension to the song with their lyrical commentary on youth and pop culture.

"We're excited to be a part of Three Artists. One Song and to bring a brand new concept to the Asia Pacific music scene," said DGURU, front man of IDIOTAPE. "By not limiting ourselves to any specific instrument or genre, we were able to come up with a very original and unique sound."

"Converse embraces a rebellious young audience and the notion of self-expression," said Eddie Shin, lead vocalist from AZIATIX. "With "#PeepShow," we wanted to elevate this young voice and inspire creativity among music fans in Korea and beyond."

Three Artists. One Song invites artists to come together and express themselves through the creation of an original track. Recent song collaborations include "Warrior" by Mark Foster, Kimbra and A-trak along with "Doyathing" by world-famous Gorillaz, James Murphy and Andre 3000. Now in its 8th series, the unique music platform launches in Asia Pacific, widening the scope for the celebration of international music talent. Following the track release, a music video for "#PeepShow" will premiere at converse.com in June 2012.

Q&A:

How did you get involved in the Converse Three Artists, One Song project?

Aziatix: "We love the concept behind Three Artists. One Song, and the notion of bringing different artists together to create something new. We are excited to be chosen as part of Asia's first Three Artists. One Song project and at the opportunity to work with such a talented roster of artists to bring this creative program to life."

What was your inspiration for this project?

Idiotape: "For the Three Artists. One Song project, we kept imagining what it would look and feel like having Jaurim, Aziatix and Idiotape together on stage, and that helped bring out the inspiration

behind '#PeepShow.'"

Was there any specific music direction for "#PeepShow" the Three Artists. One Song original song?

Jaurim: "As artists, we're inspired by Converse's brand mission of supporting creativity. By mixing our different music styles and genres, we in turn hope to inspire young people to unleash their own creativity."

Aziatix: "Since the 3 Artists. 1 Song project is a brand new concept in Korea, we wanted to show people a new, fresh and original track."

What was your specific role in creating this unique track? Can you elaborate a bit more on the music process?

Idiotape: "We built the structure behind the track and by exploring various genres and instruments, we came up with very unique sound."

Aziatix: "Converse celebrates a rebellious young audience and the notion of self-expression. With the rap lyrics we wrote for "#PeepShow," we wanted to elevate this young voice and inspire this audience

further."

How does it feel to collaborate with 3 different and unique artists?

Aziatix: "From the moment we started working on this project, we wanted to learn how the different collaborators take direction in creating music and about their work process. This has brought a new perspective to the way we see music."

What do you hope to achieve with this music collaboration?

Idiotape: "Three artists coming together to create something completely new that's the ultimate example of self-expression. With this collaboration, we would like to show the world that mixing these

elements can be truly awesome and inspire people to take this idea even further."
