Welcome to another week of 'allkpop TV guide and Ratings', an exclusive feature that spotlights three popular Korean dramas. It will discuss ratings for each week's episodes, as well as provide brief recaps (with spoilers, so watch out!) of shows that we know allkpop readers are enjoying.
While we've got the three regular shows being recapped for this week -- 'Poseidon' (with Super Junior's Choi Siwon), 'Deep-Rooted Tree' (starring Shin Se Kyung, Song Joong Ki, and Super Junior's Kim Ki Bum), 'Can't Live with Losing' (with Hallyu star Choi Ji Woo) --, we've added a new series to the list: 'Man of Honor' (starring Park Min Young and Chun Jung Myung).
--
To start, 'Poseidon' is only seeing slight increases in viewership ratings from last week. The storyline is gaining momentum, but unfortunately, the ratings aren't following suit as the drama currently has a rating of 6.6%. Meanwhile SBS's 'Warrior Baek Dong Soo' (starring Ji Chang Wook and Yoo Seung Ho) held its first place crown until the end, as it finished its successful broadcast with a 17.9% rating. MBC's 'Gyebaek' followed its consistent rating path with a 10.1%.
SBS will most likely successfully continue its strong streak with its melodrama, 'Thousand Day Promise', which is ramping up high interest thanks to its cast of veteran stars like Su Ae and Kim Rae Won. 'Thousand Day Promise' is actually Kim Rae Won's comeback drama post-military service, so that will be a contributing factor to the drama's high ratings as well.
KBS completed its successful historical-romance series, 'The Princess' Man' the week before, and began to air 'Man of Honor'. However, SBS's 'Deep-Rooted Tree' leaped to first place over 'Man of Honor' and was crowned as the clear winner of the time slot. 'Deep-Rooted Tree' drew triumphant ratings of 18.2% and 19.2%, which is tremendous after only two weeks of airing. As for 'Man of Honor', it still brought in a respectable viewer base with a 9.4% rating.
Finally, MBC's 'Can't Live with Losing' experienced a rating rise as it nears it finale with a 8.0%.

? Deep-Rooted Tree (SBS)
Official Synopsis: A series of murder casts a shadow over the reign of King Sejong (Han Suk Kyu – younger version played by Song Joong Ki). The story explains that Young Kwang fell in love with Jae In during her birthday party and decided to become a baseball champion for her after he suffered humiliation at the hands of 'In Woo' (Lee Jang Woo) in a baseball match.
Jae In's parents passed away in a car crash, which resulted in Jae In having to live in an orphanage. The two come together again years later, as Jae In becomes Young Kwan's nurse.
