Legendary singer Im Jae Bum recently opened up about his music and life story. He has decided to participate in MBC's special broadcast of 'I Am A Rock Legend' after receiving an overflowing amount of love and support from the nation after competing in MBC's 'I Am a Singer'. Though, Im Jae Bum rose to popularity with his solo debut in 1991 with "After This Night Passes", a R&B ballad, he was actually the first vocalist from the legendary '80s heavy metal group, Shinawi. During MBC's special interview on June 30th, Im Jae Bum stated, "I am a rocker to my bones." He then proceeded to talk about the stature of Shinawi, Boo Hwal, Baek Doo San, and other legendary rock groups from the '80s. In this special broadcast, viewers will be able to see how Im Jae Bum had a fateful meeting with Shinawi's Shin Dae Chul, as he was picked as a guitarist for the band along with Kim Tae Won and Kim Do Gyun. He will also open up about the mental suffering and extreme poverty he had to endure after giving up on his 'rocker' career. His life story is said to be incredibly shocking. Im Jae Bum will be 49 years old this year. He had started living his second life through 'I Am A Singer', and fans will be able to check out his hidden story on July 8th's broadcast of MBC's special 'I Am A Rock Legend'.
