With MC Mong currently under suspicion for draft dodging by intentionally extracting a formidable amount of teeth, it has recently been confirmed that he received an exemption under the rarest of circumstances, one that was only granted to 0.045% out of the entire exemptions granted. Kim Haksong, a member of the National Assembly and congressman of the Grand National Party, revealed various documents regarding MC Mong's suspicions on his homepage. In the documents, Kim states, "Since 1998, when he first received notification of his enlistment as a level 1 active-duty soldier, he has received a total of seven exemptions up to 2006. January of 2007, he applied at the Military Manpower Association to be suspended from military service under the reason of tooth loss. He went for a physical test on February 1st and and received a level 5 result for a chewing dysfunction due to excessive teeth loss, effectively exempting him from military service. " Kim also included the statistics for those that received exemptions under the same reason, revealing, "2006, 29 people (0.09%). 2007, 14 people (0.05%). 2008, 18 people (0.06%). 2009, 15 people (0.05%). Using June 30, 2010 as a standard, only five are exempted under MC Mong's reason every year out of the 29,800 total exemptions granted. This is definitely an unusual case for MC Mong." Kim went on to reveal the diagnosis that MC Mong submitted in order to earn his exemption. According to the document, the doctor diagnosed MC Mong with a chewing dysfunction due to teeth extraction. MC Mong also 'never went in for treatment' despite 'needing implants and/or dentures.' The document ends with a note stating that should MC Mong receive implants, he will experience no further problems. Kim continued by writing, "It is extremely hard for me to understand how he can even stand chewing under such unbearable pain and never go in for treatment. Seeing as how the doctor stated that he will experience no further pain or problems once he gets implants, I can only assume that he has exchanged his teeth for an exemption." Regardless, MC Mong and associates have denied such speculations, consistently stating that none of it was done intentionally. Netizens commented, "I'd rather go serve in the army in the time I'm sitting there in pain after ripping out 10 of my teeth," "He basically never got treatment and let his teeth rot so that he can continue to receive exemptions. He's quite the manipulative one," and "If he ripped out his 10 teeth and received an exemption, he should have gotten implants. Seeing as how he hasn't up until even now, isn't it obvious that he did it on purpose, planning all of the steps? Every person that is purposely evading their service must be taken out of Korea. It makes no sense that they use a Korean social security number without doing their part for the nation." Source: Sports Seoul
