Kara had their first showcase in Japan on the 7th. The day before that, they had a massive press conference in Japan as well. It seems like their overseas promotions will take place when DSP Entertainment moves Kara into Japan after conquering Korea. The first of the two showcases was a success. 4,000 fans came to watch the girls perform Honey, Rock U, Wanna, Mister and Pretty Girl. The fans weren't the only people at their showcase. Five to six Japanese entertainment companies' representatives attended to watch the girls and see their potential. People have been hearing about their talent in Japan and many companies are interested in working with them. They were there to see Kara's capabilities and rising popularity. One of the entertainment company representatives said, "Kara could work well in Japan right away." Would you believe me if I said that another important person was in attendance? Famous and popular comedian Gekidan Hitori was there because he is a big fan of Kara. He was the one that talked about Kara on Arashi's Homework, a popular television show in Japan. DSP Entertainment gave Gekidan Hitori tickets to the showcase as a thank you for spreading word about Kara in Japan, but he didn't accept them. Surprising, right? Gekidan Hitori said, "I don't want to be treated specially. I want to attend the showcase as a fan and buy a ticket like everyone else." Gekidan Hitori even came to the meet & greet after the showcase. Kara was really thankful to see him there and greeted him with smiles. Hitori then bought all the cute Kara souvenirs he could get his hands on. What a cute fanboy. [gallery]
