Back on December 9th, the retail website martzzang.com pitted TVXQ / DBSK / Tohoshinki's 3rd Asia Tour Concert album (the Red Team) versus Big Bang 2009 Live Concert album (the Bule Team should be Blue but its in Engrish). The battle was on who would have more album sales on the website until December 11th. Well, it seems TVXQ has overwhelmingly given Big Bang a knockout by having 95% of the total sales. This was a smart move on martzzang.com's part, because ever since the battle was put up, fan girls of both groups immediately went to the site and started buying albums in bulk to support their favorite group. So much so that the servers crashed because it couldn't handle the volume of traffic. Because of this huge success, martzzang plans to have more battles between idols in the near future. Unfortunately, the sales were heavily one sided. I was surprised of the huge margin in which Big Bang lost by, I thought they would've put up a better fight. There's no shame in losing though, they're still very talented with dedicated fans. As for TVXQ, even despite their current turmoil, the fans are still rabid as ever.
