Actress Park Ye Jin, who made quite an impression as the wild girl who grabs chickens and slices up fish on Family Outing reassured people that her departure isn't the reason why Family Outing's ratings have dropped. In an interview with Newsen, she was asked if she had heard rumors about people saying that her departure was the reason for Family Outing's lower ratings. To this she said, "I heard that from some people. I don't think it's because of me. I think it's what a show goes through. It's a pattern. Every show has its low ratings once in awhile like 1 Night 2 Days and Infinity Challenge." She shared that it surprised her that she even went into doing a variety show, "A long time ago, I never thought I would do a variety show. I thought that if I did Family Outing, I could show a different side than my acting side. I thought I could show a natural side of me and expand my capabilities as an actress. And when I first started, I told the director to not expect anything funny from me. I just told him I would work hard. I'm also bad at getting along with people I don't know so it was a hard decision for me." There must be something wrong with Family Outing because the ratings went from being in the range of 20% to around 10% after Park Ye Jin and Lee Chun Hee left.
