WayV has released the performance video for their pre-release single 'HIGH FIVE', part of their sixth mini album 'FREQUENCY'. The song was made available on November 19th at 6 p.m. KST across various music platforms, with the music video simultaneously premiering on the SMTOWN YouTube channel.
'HIGH FIVE' is an energetic dance track that blends vintage brass, 808 bass, and diverse synth sounds. Its unique combination of 90s pop and old-school hip-hop offers a distinctive charm. The Korean lyrics deliver a positive message, encouraging listeners to share high fives and aim for the top, generating high expectations for the track.
The music video, true to its title, creatively portrays the members discovering a mysterious palm-shaped relic. Its kitschy and witty direction is expected to capture viewers' attention.
WayV’s sixth mini album 'FREQUENCY' will be fully released on November 25th at 6 p.m. KST, with all tracks available on music platforms and physical albums also hitting the market the same day.
Additionally, WayV is set to attend the 9th Asia Artist Awards (AAA 2024) on December 27th at the IMPACT Challenger Hall 1-2 in Bangkok, Thailand. Launched in 2016, the AAA is Korea’s first integrated awards ceremony recognizing both actors and singers.
Actor Ryu Jun Yeol will host the event alongside IVE’s Jang Wonyoung and ZEROBASEONE’s Sung Hanbin.
