Melomance's Kim Min Seok revealed he used to weigh 101kg (about 222 lbs) while serving in the military. 

On the February 25th episode of MBC's 'Point of Omniscient Interfere,' Melomance's Kim Min Seok appeared as a guest and shared his daily life with the viewers. In the episode, he revealed how he used to weigh 101kg during his mandatory military service while sharing a meal with his younger brother and actor Kim Woo Seok. 

The two met the day after Melomance's concert. Kim Min Seok said, "I thought I couldn't resume activities in this state so I went on a diet for 2-3 months following my discharge." His brother Kim Woo Seok commented, "I was scared of his eating right before he enlisted. Back then he ate 7-8 people's servings of meat and went to have lamb skewers just after 2 hours. And then in another 2 hours, he was sharing fried chicken with his friends. I'm not exaggerating." 

Kim Min Seok then added that he ate another round of liquor and Korean-Chinese food right before he went to bed, which resulted in him gaining 9kg in just two weeks before his enlistment. 

Meanwhile, it was reported Kim Min Seok lost 25kg following his discharge.
