The long and difficult journey to find the next global K-Pop girl group sensation begins later this August, with Mnet's latest idol survival program 'Girls Planet 999'!
With project girl group IZ*ONE's promotions having come to an end back in April of this year, Mnet is looking to produce the next sensational K-Pop girl group hand-picked by the "nation's producers". But this time, the competition features trainees representing three different regions across Asia - South Korea, Japan, and China!
Over 13,000 contestants auditioned for a chance to enter the main survival round of 'Girls Planet 999'. Of those contestants, 33 were chosen to represent each nationality - Korean, Japanese, and Chinese - for a total of 99 main contestants who will begin the survival journey on the upcoming competition.
Stay tuned for Mnet's 'Girls Planet 999', coming this August! In the meantime, check out the program's first teaser above.
After all that drama they are still doing idol debuting programs?
