Former rhythmic gymnast Son Yeon Jae made her first child’s first birthday a memorable occasion, going all out with an extravagant celebration and thoughtful return gifts. On February 18, she shared a heartwarming post revealing the unique return gifts, a Yugi tea fork set, accompanied by a photo that highlighted the exquisite design.
The photo captured the delicate tea fork set, elegantly encased in a pink floral-patterned box, with the words 'Lee Jun Yeon’s First Birthday' engraved on it. The personalized detail added an extra touch of love and care, making it a special gift for the family and friends who attended the celebration.
In addition to the return gifts, Son also gave fans a peek at the birthday cake. “The cake is a giraffe cake, which Jun Yeon loves,” she wrote, showing the personal touch she added to the event. Her social media posts offered insights for other parents planning their children’s first birthday parties, sharing her joy and tips on making the day extra special.

Earlier, on February 16, Son shared a heartfelt message about her journey into motherhood, saying, “I will raise my child to be healthy and upright. Thank you for your congratulations. Let’s continue to be happy together, my baby,” along with photos from the joyous celebration.
The grand birthday party was held at the prestigious the Shilla Seoul Yeong Bin Gwan, impressing attendees with its wedding-like splendor. The celebration was a lavish affair that garnered much attention, and Son also subtly revealed a glimpse of her husband, adding a layer of intrigue for her fans.
Son Yeon Jae married a financial professional, who is nine years her senior, in September 2022. They welcomed their son soon after, marking a new chapter in her life.
In addition to the extravagant birthday celebrations, Son continued her commitment to philanthropy by donating 100 million KRW (about $76,000) to the obstetrics and neonatology departments at Severance Hospital on February 17, in honor of her child's first birthday. This donation follows her previous contribution made after the birth of her son last year.
Grateful for the support she has received, Son shared, “Through my experience with childbirth and parenting, I have come to appreciate the hard work of medical professionals caring for mothers and children. I realized the importance of continued support for better medical environments.” Her generosity and thoughtfulness have touched the hearts of many, highlighting her deep care for both her family and society.
