Controversial American streamer Johnny Somali, accused of kissing the Statue of Peace and causing disturbances in South Korea, continued his misconduct in court.

According to News1 on March 7, Johnny Somali (real name: Ramsey Khalid Ismail), who has been indicted on three charges, including obstruction of business and violation of the Minor Offenses Act, appeared in court at 11:08 AM wearing a black shirt, an ivory-colored suit, and a purple tie.

The trial was originally scheduled for 10:10 AM, but Somali arrived nearly an hour late.

He attempted to enter the courtroom wearing a red MAGA hat, commonly associated with supporters of U.S. President Donald Trump, but the streamer was stopped and forced to remove the hat due to court regulations.

When asked by reporters why he was wearing the MAGA cap, Somali responded, "Because I am an American citizen. And Korea is a colony of the United States."

Once inside, Somali appeared relaxed, sticking out his tongue at an acquaintance seated in the gallery.

During his first trial at the Seoul Western District Court, presided over by Judge Park Ji Won, Somali admitted to all charges related to obstruction of business and violations of the Minor Offenses Act.

His lawyer stated that they would address a newly combined case along with the previous three charges at the next hearing on April 9.

Johnny Somali was accused of disrupting business at a convenience store in Mapo-gu, Seoul, on October 17 last year by playing loud music and dancing. When an employee tried to stop him, he spilled cup noodle soup on the table and verbally abused the staff.

Additionally, on October 12, he allegedly roamed the streets of Mapo-gu carrying a bag of foul-smelling fish while approaching pedestrians. On October 23, he reportedly caused a disturbance on buses and subways by playing loud music, doing pull-ups, and dancing provocatively.

Furthermore, Somali sparked controversy by live-streaming himself kissing the Statue of Peace, which symbolizes the victims of Japanese military sexual slavery, often referred to as comfort women.
