YG Entertainment has reported a total sales of 104.1 billion KRW (~ $71 million USD) and an operating profit of 990 million KRW (~ $679,000 USD) for the fourth quarter of 2024, according to a report by NH Investment & Securities on February 28 KST. The agency also reported a net profit of 20.9 billion KRW (~ $14 million USD).
The agency's unexpected performance in the fourth quarter of 2024 resulted from BABYMONSTER's successful album release, which gained popularity globally, as well as through MD sales from the group's comeback pop-up store. In the fourth quarter of 2024, BABYMONSTER's 1st full album 'Drip' sold approximately 840,000 copies.
In 2025, BABYMONSTER will continue to demonstrate their profitability with their 1st large-scale world tour. Another key artist, TREASURE, also plans on carrying out various promotions in Korea and overseas. Finally, a 10-city world tour has been announced for the second half of 2025 by BLACKPINK, kicking off in Seoul in July. The top girl group's tour and MD sales are expected to boost YGE's performance in 2025.
