Jeon Hyun Moo candidly addressed his dating rumors with announcer Hong Joo Yeon, who is 20 years younger than him, during a recent appearance on 'Fairy Jaehyung'.

On the 7th, a video titled "Starting with dislike, now you can't help but love the cute troublemaker Hyun Moo!!!!!" was uploaded to the 'Fairy Jaehyung' YouTube channel.

During the episode, Jung Jae Hyung brought up Jeon Hyun Moo’s early career, saying, “When I saw you this time, Jeon Hyun Moo had already passed the media exam.” Jeon Hyun Moo shared, “When you watch news channels, the anchors today bring some humor, but back then, that culture didn’t exist. I dreamed of creating a more relaxed atmosphere in the news.”

Reflecting on his beginnings, Jeon Hyun Moo revealed that he passed the entrance exams for both Chosun Ilbo and YTN. He said, “Chosun Ilbo contacted me a week earlier, but I hated the excessive drinking culture. During a company dinner, I even vomited on the editor-in-chief’s thigh,” which drew laughter. He continued, “Despite that, the administrative team knew my abilities and saw my passion for broadcasting, so I declined Chosun Ilbo’s offer and worked as a YTN anchor for three years.”

Explaining his transition to KBS, Jeon Hyun Moo said, “I wanted to be an MC, not an anchor. Political analysis wasn’t my thing. Watching Yoo Jae Suk and Kang Ho Dong, I thought, ‘I can do that too.’ Being an anchor felt like wearing the wrong clothes, so I took the public broadcasting exam.” He added humorously, “When I joined KBS, nine out of ten people thought I was a general affairs employee, not an announcer.”

Jung Jae Hyung teased him, saying, “After that, you revealed your true self on public broadcasting.” Jeon Hyun Moo responded, “When I sang high notes or danced, people criticized me for lacking dignity. I wrote many ‘statements of account’ and ‘reflection letters.’ I had a lot of resentment back then.” He also joked, “I danced to SHINee’s Lucifer on 'Star Golden Bell' more than SHINee themselves. Even Key says it’s my song.”

Jung Jae Hyung brought up 'Boss Donkey Ears', saying, “You didn’t hold back from exposing yourself on the show.” He added, “Jeon Hyun Moo always joked, ‘Make sure there’s an article about me when I meet a new announcer.’”

This led to the topic of his recent dating rumors with KBS announcer Hong Joo Yeon. Jeon Hyun Moo said, “I’ve been through so much that getting criticized for dating another female announcer doesn’t bother me anymore. It’s not a big deal; one issue gets buried by another.” He continued, “I hope the attention helps Hong Joo Yeon become more well-known. I think that’s a good thing.”
