Trot-themed programs ‘Mister Trot 3’ and ‘King of Singers 2’ have taken the top two spots in the January 2025 entertainment program brand reputation rankings, surpassing ‘I Live Alone’, which came in third.
According to the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, the rankings were determined by analyzing data from December 5, 2024, to January 5, 2025, across 50 entertainment programs. The evaluation considered participation, communication, media, community, and viewership indices.
‘Mister Trot 3’, ranked first with a brand reputation index of 7,374,191, while ‘King of Singers 2’ secured second place with 6,647,551, reflecting a 116.73% increase from the previous month. ‘I Live Alone’ followed in third place with an index of 6,224,337, a 11.21% increase compared to December.
Other notable rankings included ‘Running Man’ in fourth place with a brand reputation index of 4,273,903, and ‘My Little Old Boy’ in fifth with 4,228,718.
The institute highlighted the steady rise in the popularity of trot entertainment programs, noting a 5.95% growth in overall brand data compared to the previous month. They emphasized the strong fan base and consistent public support for trot-themed shows, which continue to dominate the entertainment landscape.
This analysis provides insight into consumer engagement, communication trends, media coverage, and the expansion of entertainment program brands. Trot programs remain at the forefront, capturing widespread attention and setting the pace for the industry.
