BTS's Jungkook connected with fans in a heartfelt live broadcast during the early hours, where he candidly shared his thoughts and feelings.

The live stream, which took place on December 18 via Weverse, lasted approximately 2 hours and 24 minutes and drew immense attention from fans. Over 20 million viewers tuned in, captivated by Jungkook’s open and sincere communication. During the broadcast, he expressed his deep admiration for Big Bang, a group he has long been a fan of.

While discussing G-Dragon's new song "Home Sweet Home," Jungkook revealed, "I’ve been a hardcore fan of Big Bang since I was a kid. I was so happy to hear about their comeback. I even got chills singing along to their new song while in the military." He went on to sing iconic Big Bang hits like "Niliria" and "Who You?" while recalling, "For guys my age, it was a given that you had to do impressions of Big Bang’s songs at karaoke. It was like an unspoken rule."

Fans loved watching Jungkook fanboy over his role models and commented: "Every fan knew BTS members are huge fans of Big Bang," "This is so cute," "I want to see G-Dragon and Jungkook collaborate," "Jungkook often said he's a fan of Big Bang," and "Jungkook is so cute being such a fan of Big Bang."

Also during the live, Jungkook entertained fans with live song requests, showing off his flawless vocals as he covered songs by Rosé, Park Hyo Shin, Bruno Mars, and more. He also gave fans an online "house tour" of his personal hideout, which was set up on the second basement floor, offering fans a rare glimpse into his private space.

However, Jungkook didn't shy away from sharing his current worries. He expressed concern over the rapid development of AI technology, saying, "AI technology is advancing so much, it’s scary. It feels like AI sings better than me. Lately, I’ve been feeling a drop in self-esteem, and sometimes I feel a sense of inferiority when I see other singers. It makes me think I need to do better." His candid confession drew an outpouring of support from fans. Jungkook added, "I want to make a comeback and get back on stage as soon as possible," further raising anticipation for his future activities.

Meanwhile, Jungkook enlisted in the military in December 2023 and is currently serving as a sergeant in the 5th Infantry Division. He is scheduled to be discharged on June 11, 2025.
